How dare you kill Gomatha………

Operation Sindoor Thread: A Call to Protect Gomatha and Promote Peace

Introduction:

Despite laws in place to protect cows and the existence of goshalas (cow shelters), thousands of cows continue to be slaughtered—especially during Bakrid. Shockingly, many of these cows are sold to slaughterhouses by Hindus themselves. This deeply painful reality not only disrespects Gomatha, whom we revere, but also fuels growing tensions between communities.

These are the same people who support terrorists and want to disturb the peace between Hindus and Muslims by killing gomatha in front of Hindus.

How are we unknowingly contributing?

Many of us are unintentionally supporting this cycle of violence by:

  • Buying from their Shops / businesses that don’t share or respect our values,
  • Offering jobs without understanding where our money ultimately flows.

In some cases, this money is used to purchase cows—sometimes for exorbitant amounts—just to slaughter them.

It’s time to take a stand.

We must become conscious consumers and employers. One way to do this is by supporting those who wear the Sindoor Thread—a symbol of shared values and commitment to protecting Gomatha and upholding peace.

The Sindoor Thread Movement:

Every year on Bakrid, we commit to wearing a new Sindoor Thread as a pledge to uphold the following six promises for the entire year:

6 Promises of the Sindoor Thread:

  1. I will never kill or consume Gomatha.
  2. I don’t support terrorists.
  3. I believe all religions deserve respect, and all gods are equal.
  4. I reject terrorism completely—those who commit such acts will go hell.
  5. I honor every brave Indian soldier who gave their life for our country—they are eternal heroes and goes to heaven.
  6. I will support businesses and individuals who also follow these five principles—by buying from them and offering them opportunities.
